Get To Know Me
In my clinical practice, I have worked extensively in sexual trauma healing and advocacy at the Pickens County Advocacy Center, where I am still the lead clinician and clinical services manager. I have also worked in the foster care system and in substance use recovery.
In 2020, during the pandemic, l discovered the powerful connection between fiber arts and mental health.
I integrate traditional evidence-based approaches with the therapeutic benefits of knitting and crochet. These timeless crafts offer a unique avenue for self-expression, mindfulness, and relaxation, contributing to a holistic approach to mental well-being.

I am also proficient in CBT, CPT, ACT, and DBT. I use techniques such as mindfulness throughout my practice. I am also an anti-oppressive practitioner who is dedicated to meeting you where you are.
LGBTQIA+ affirming. Committed to promoting systemic social equity in all forms.
What if I’m here only for therapy?
Great question! My practice is designed to investigate the intersection of fiber arts and clinical mental health therapy; however, I am a clinical therapist first and a fiber arts practitioner second. Meaning, I am not going to force you to adopt crochet or knitting. If you’re primarily looking for a therapist and don’t want to incorporate fiber arts into your healing journey, that’s totally 100 percent fine! Additionally, our treatment plan can be tailored at any point to focus more on therapy than crafting.
What if I’m looking for knitting or crochet tutorials or one-on-one guidance?
Because I am a therapist first and foremost, I would encourage you to find a different instructor if you aren’t looking for a therapist alongside crafting guidance. If you’re solely looking for fiber arts instruction, there are amazing teachers at traditional yarn stores such as Lofty Fiber in Easley who will be more than happy to provide you with one-on-one instruction.
